IMAGE | The Public Face
Guest curated by Jeffrey Fraenkel, director of the Fraenkel Gallery, San Francisco, IMAGE | The Public Face presents a thought-provoking arc of photographic portraiture spanning the meticulously composed and crafted portraits of the early twentieth century to the ubiquitous media-saturated selfies of the twenty-first century. The exhibition examines our pyscho-sociological motivations in “constructing image(s)” and in presenting our “public face.”
