Culture, Social Identity, and Race

October 20, 2016 - November 12, 2016

Marcus Evans explores issues of social identification and cultural disconnect through the art of photography, moving beyond traditional photo-documentation in an attempt to influence politics and encourage social change. In an exploration of the systemic socio-economic and racial injustice that continues to pervade the culture of the United States, Evans addresses issues of social identification and cultural disconnect, of which racism is a clear manifestation.
